Informing you about Taekwondo and Dr. Kim Un Yong, IOC Member

There was a demonstration at Kukkiwon(World Taekwondo Headquarters) by university students majoring in Taekwondo on April 16, 2001 in Seoul, Korea which is known as the suzerain state of Taekwondo. This demonstration which was the first to be made since the foundation of the Korea Taekwondo Association shocked not only the people from the Taekwondo association but also the Korean society.
The demonstration went on for days and the Korean newspaper and TV stations broadcasted this matter broadly but the foreign news was quiet about it. It almost seemed like they weren't interested. The demonstrators claimed that several judges have been fixing games and have been taking bribes and they demanded that these people, who are thought to have been giving bribes to Kim Un Yong's close personal friends, should be kicked out of the association.
Kim Un Yong, the president of the Korea Taekwondo Association not only refused the students demands but also refused to listen to what they had to say. He didn't make a move until the students pushed up their demands more strongly, which included throwing Kim Un Yong and all the other executive body out of the association. The decision he made was to throw out three high place executives from the association as a scapegoat to make closure for the riot.
Most of the people who train Taekwondo in Korea, like the students, also believe that Kim Un Yong himself caused this effect. Kim Un Yong became the president of the Korea Taekwondo Association in 1971, and propelled to build Kukkiwon as the main center of the Korea Taekwondo Association. While doing so he sold some of his stocks of Jeon Ju Paper Company and invested it in Kukkiwon. Since 1972, the Taekwondo center, Kukkiwon became a foundation. Kim Un Yong took over as the chief executive and the board of directors were filled up with people close to him, who didn't even know a thing about Taekwondo, and soon it became privately owned. Kukkiwon, the main center of the Korea Taekwondo Association, has been renamed as World Taekwondo Headquarters in English and has become a place where they issue black belt certificates for the Korea Taekwondo Association as well as for people from foreign countries. Most of the Taekwondo institutions and the people who train Taekwondo didn't know about this matter.
Kim Un Yong changed the Kukkiwon into a private property building after the Kukkiwon took over the role of the promotion tests from the Korea Taekwondo Association, which was the main source of making money.
Kukkiwon, headquarter of the World Taekwondo Federation(WTF), is a very strange organization since it doesn't have a branch in the world and only has authority but no duty and responsibility. Only the income is notified and how and where they are spending the money is kept in the dark. The balance sheets are also considered as an outside secret so it is even kept from those who are related to other Taekwondo institutions. Kim Un Yong and his family have been getting financial benefits from the Kukkiwon's budget. Of course, if Kim Un Yong personally owned it, it wouldn't have been a problem.
But as everyone knows, the Kukkiwon's budget comes from Taekwondo instructors and other institutions all over the world, which means that it's not his to use.
So, by all means the people who support the Kukkiwon with money have every right to want to know how their money is spent. But Kim Un Yong is skillfully intercepting that right and only thinking of fulfilling his self-interest and selfish desires.
Why are these things happening? This is mainly because Kim Un Yong is the head of many high-ranking institutions like the World Taekwondo Federation, the Kukkiwon and the Korea Taekwondo Association as well as the president of the Korean Amateur Athletic Association, the head of KOC(Korea Olympic Committee) and a member of the IOC and the president of GAISF.
It's strange how a man property can increase so largely as the days goes by when his doing nothing to earn that much and especially since he is contributes money and support the Taekwondo institutions as the head executive.
So it isn't that hard to guess Kukkiwon is where he gets all his money. Other related institutions also plays a part. For example, in the past when Kim Un Yong went for an official tour in a foreign country three institutions paid for his plane fair and lodging charge and of all other cost. Therefore Kim Un Yong is person that in often called the hands of Midas who can make money without conducting a business.
Kim Un Yong has gotten a severe warning from the IOC for his son Kim Jung Hoon(John Kim)'s improper deeds related with the organization committee in Salt lake City where the 2002 Winter Olympics will be held. His son Kim Jung Hoon has left his mansion behind, which is worth 1,400,000 dollars, in New Jersey and came to Korea in order to avoid further investigation from the FBI. And you'd think he'd learned something by now. He has been up to no good ever since his been back.
But like what many of the Korean netizens say when comparing to the misdeeds that Kim Un Yong and his son has been causing in Korea the Salt lake City scandal is nothing.
Kim Un Yong and his family misdeed and corruption has been going on for so long and is so deep that most irrationalities are almost considered as normal. Kim Un Yong has also been in a scandal considering his youngest daughter Kim Hea Jung. The scandal was that he had bought his daughter an award at the Moscow concours. But of course Kim Un Yong is denying it.
However, it is known that there was also some form of injustice in her entering Julliard School as well. Kim Un Yong asked the chief director of Chung-Joo University which is located in Chungcheong Buk-do, who is also his son's father in law to do him a favor. He asked him to make it look like his daughter had won an award at a concours that didn't even exist in order for her to enter Julliard School of Music. He even sent his daughter underwear with the Kukkiwon's budget let alone spent on publishing a book that his now dead father wrote about visiting Mt. Geum Gang. This of course is only happening because Kim Un Yong is protecting his son. For instance, Kim Jung Hoon opened a shop called IDM right behind Kukkiwon that specializes in Taekwondo products, and as soon as it was open, it became the World Taekwondo Federations official company along with Adidas. Kim Jung Hoon is under the suspicion that not like other companies he may have made a lot of money by interfering in the Taekwondo institutions personnel policy. For example, one store that specialized in Taekwondo products gave more than 2,000,000 in American dollars to John Kim even though they were facing bankruptcy. And soon after this incident occurred the company went bankrupt. Recently he has made an internet company and he himself is the representative director. In the introduction area of their internet site the first paragraph begins with Kim Un Yong praising his son's company as the best company for Taekwondo products which surprised many people training Taekwondo.
And, ever since the Korea Taekwondo Association has named Kim Jung Hoon's internet company as the best, this has been the cause of public censure. But the Korea Taekwondo Association is still strongly saying that Kim Jung Hoon's company is the best. As we all know the president of the Korea Taekwondo Association is Kim Un Yong.
Since Kim Un Yong has been running as a candidate for the chairman of IOC, he has been bending the truth and feeding people false information about himself. For example, Kim Un Yong has been telling people that he trains his Taekwondo moves in Kukkiwon everyday. This is of course one big lie.
Kim Un Yong is not even a Taekwondo master. He only got his black belt because he is a government official. In real life his Taekwondo ability is not even close to a 2nd dan black belt. He has been registered as a 10th dan black belt with two other senior Taekwondo masters who have been promoted after they passed away. But this certificate that he received was given to him by himself and not by a master. This kind of event has never happened before in the Taekwondo society. Kim Un Yong has been telling the media that the scandal related to the Salt Lake City Olympic is fictitious, and that it is most likely a made-up story by the Anglo-Saxons who want to harm him secretly. And this matter has been reported several times in the newspaper and through broadcasting. Fixed games are common in Korea when picking the representative players so in some ways this was already anticipated. This is because Kim Un Yong is the president of the Korea Taekwondo Association. In the 2000 Sydney Olympic, Korea wasn't able to win a gold medal in two weight classes. But this doesn't mean that the Korean players Taekwondo skills are low in general. It just means that there is a problem in choosing them.

Kim Un Yong is a person that doesn't care about public interest and only care about himself. That is why most of the Taekwondo people agree that he is self-absorbed.
Olympic Games should always be fair and honorable. If Kim Un Yong doesn't leave the sports society soon, the honesty and the fairness of the game will have a turn for the worst. This means that unfair and fixed games will spread throughout the world. In this case, it's certain that Taekwondo will be the one most effected by it.
In order to lead the sports society, we think that the member of the IOC shouldn't lack in morality and respect. The important role of the IOC is to remove the injustice, corruption and absurdity in sports.
We love all the sports in the IOC, but have a more extreme love towards Taekwondo, at least a whole lot more than Kim Un Yong does. And we respect the IOC's motto. Kim Un Yong, who depends on Korean style fascism and keeps on lying should be kicked out from the sports society. There are lots of pictures and news articles that prove this fact including witnesses. And we are ready to testify against him under oath when called by the IOC Ethics Committee. Korea National Egoism and the non-interest shown from the international press have prevented this information from spreading around the world.
We believe that Taekwondo will continue to flourish, we have no doubt about it. So we are sending you this letter as a way of informing you about what be believe.
